Fruits and vegetables are the primary sources of vitamins and minerals for the body. In addition to providing us with the necessary nutrients to maintain a healthy and balanced body, they help us prevent and combat conditions such as gastritis, stress, diabetes, among others. This is achieved through a natural method known as Jugotherapy, which consists of studying the properties of fruits and vegetables to create juice mixtures that detoxify, cleanse, strengthen and revitalize the body, thus improving our quality of life.

There are several types of juice extractors; some are better known than others due to their large capacity, design, and feature.

Typically juice extractors are designed to be able to squeeze, crush and grind any type of fruit or vegetables with which you can make juice; however, some juice extractors are better than others since they allow you to extract the liquid in the easiest and fastest way, without the need to put much effort. You can also find easy to clean juicers. Here are the types of juicers you can find:

Centrifugal juicers

This juice extractor model is the most known by everyone; since it is basically very similar to a blender, it is specialized for being easy and fast to use for any juice extractor fan.

Masticating juice extractors

These juicers have a powerful screw, which crushes any fruit or vegetable from its foundation, taking out all the juice it has in the center. Subsequently, all the liquid that has been squeezed outcomes out through the nozzle of this one.

Horizontal juicers

These juicers are generally masticating juicers with a sizable horizontal screw that crushes the fruit or vegetable and then extracts the juice. These juicers are usually the widest on the market, as they operate horizontally.

Vertical juicers

The vertical juice extractors are the tallest on the market because their design and manufacture are made vertically; hence its name, like the horizontal juice extractors, these also come from the masticating juice extractors, so they have a giant screw in the vertical top that crushes the fruit and vegetables, then removes its juice through the nozzle of this.

It should be noted that the motor of these juice extractors will be at the base, that is, at the bottom, allowing it to have an elegant and functional design.

Crushing juice extractors

These crushing juice extractors are designed to crush the fruit or vegetable; they have two gears that perform this capability.

Their method is straightforward; the gears will rotate so that they simply extract the juice.

Manual juice extractors

These juice extractors are the heaviest on the list, and not necessarily because they weigh a lot, but because they will make you sweat it out, as they require a great effort from your arms to be able to crush the fruits.

As the name suggests, almost everything is done manually, they are usually the cheapest on the market, but they will make you have to work hard to get the juice out.

Automatic juice extractors

This juice extractor model is the newest on the market and one of the most expensive since its main feature is that it performs the whole process in a fully automatic way. You only have to put the fruit or vegetable in the necessary compartment, press a button, and ready, and in a matter of seconds, it will be giving you the liquid juice from the fruits or vegetables.

You only need to connect it to the mains for it to work; it will do all your work autonomously and straightforwardly. They are also easy to clean juicers.

Finally, you must learn to identify the different types of fruits if you want to make a good blend:

  • Sweet fruits: pitaya, banana, melon, mango, plum, soursop.
  • Neutral fruits: coconut, avocado, peanut, walnut, almond, hazelnut, cucumber.
  • Semi-acid fruits: strawberry, plum, peach, tangerine, guava, cherry.
  • Acid fruits: pineapple, kiwi, orange, lemon, tamarind, grapefruit, passion fruit.

Try not to combine acidic fruits with sweet ones; this may cause stomach upset or allergy. It is recommended not to mix watermelon or melon with other fruits.

Remember to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before any preparation. Juices are an excellent complement to your diet and help you get the nutrients you need practice, especially if eating fruits and vegetables is not your forte.
